How It Works

Plants have evolved to work with microbes in the soil.

Plants feed microbes. Microbes unlock nutrients & water for plants. It’s a symbiotic relationship. Microbes have a myriad of other functions, too. They help prevent pathogens, enhance uptake and generally keep the rootzone healthy.

Eco-Life is alive with these microbes! And it’s pre-loaded with the nutrients plants need from seed to harvest.

A mix of long, medium & short release ingredients are used, which maximise plant growth, health & immunity.

There’s no need to add extra nutrients. Since you’re not feeding, there’s nothing to flush. Plants stop feeding and growth slows naturally at harvest. Just keep your media moist with a good quality water. This is the real, original way to grow organically.

What's In It

Eco-Life is supercharged with:

Irish Sphagnum Peat Moss, Pumice, Thermophilic Compost, Worm Castings, Mealworm Frass (Charge), Neem Cake, Kelp (seaweed) meal, Crustacean meal, Volcanic Rockdust, Gypsum, Magnesium Limestone & Humic and Fulvic Acids (Nutrimate).

Seaweed Meal

It contains more than 60 trace elements that plants need. It’s a great source of plant growth hormones; indoles for root development; gibberellins for nutrient mobility.

Gypsum

It adds calcium & sulphur for aroma & flavour. It also improves water penetration & reduces water logging.

Vermicompost (Worm Castings)

The key part of the soil mix. It adds bacteria and fungi that break down other ingredients, making them available to the plants. Vermicompost also adds extra N, P & K. Worm castings come from an indoor farm and are fed organic fruit and vegetable pulp and peelings.

Basalt

Basalt (Volcanic Rock Dust) has a high silica content. It fortifies cell walls to thicken leaves, stems, branches. Plants are hardened to pests & climate extremes. They can also support bigger yields.

Insect Meal

A new natural and sustainable alternative to crustacean and fish meal. Made from the larvae of black soldier flies farmed sustainably on by-products from fruit and vegetable processing, insect meal is high in proteins, amino acids and omega 3's. As well as a highly available source of nitrogen. Insect meal also contributes soluble phosphorus, high levels of calcium and is a good source for the trace elements manganese and zinc. Being from insects, this meal is also high in chitin which can stimulate the plant's defences as well as being an excellent fungal food source. Insect meal has double the chitin content of frass!

Mealworm Frass (Ecothrive Charge)

It boosts N, P & K and is brimming with beneficial microbes & mealworm castings. It also contains chitin to improves your plant’s immune response and defences.

Neem Cake

It’s a nutrient accumulator with deep-reaching roots. It pulls nutrition from areas in the soil plant roots don’t reach. Neem is rich in N, P, K, Calcium & Magnesium and helps prevent pests & pathogens.

Humic & Fulvic Acids

These come from a natural mined deposit of ancient vegetation and mimic the humus (the final product of decomposition). The deposit is rich in humic & fulvic acids. These help chelate nutrients and stimulate microbial activity. Overall, root & plant growth is improved.

How To Use

Per 1.2m2 area, we recommend 180 – 250L of Eco-Life in 4 x 45L pots.

Other pot sizes will work, as long as you use the right amount of media.

e.g. 2 x 90L pots or 6 x 30L pots or 1 x 200L bed would work.

Starting Off

You can start most plants off with Eco-Life. But if you’re growing sensitive plants, you can mix in some extra coco to begin with.

Watering

Build up your water level slowly. DO NOT WATER TO REACH RUN-OFF.

For your first water, add 5 – 10% of total pot volume. Check your pots and water every few days.

You want to keep the soil evenly moist, and not too wet. No final flush is needed.

Use good quality water.
